Joseph De La Cruz

Joseph is the co-founder and secretary of Performing Arts with Excellence, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering creativity, discipline, and artistic expression in underserved communities. With a strong passion for both the arts and science, Joseph aims to bridge the gap between these two fields, bringing innovative, analytical thinking into his nonprofit work to create sustainable, impactful programming. A proud graduate of Riverside High School, Joseph has spent much of his career working as a security guard throughout New York City and its boroughs.

In his role, he feels like a superhero in his own community, seeing his work as an opportunity to protect and serve while making a positive difference in the lives of those around him. His commitment to helping others extends beyond his job—Joseph is deeply invested in supporting local initiatives and using his talents to uplift his native New York community.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Joseph is an avid fitness enthusiast. Whether lifting weights or participating in physical activities, he believes in the power of a strong body and mind to help people overcome challenges and live healthier lives. His love for physical fitness complements his mission of improving well-being and fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment for individuals in his community.
